GSF’s strong community presence and proven approach to engaging community leadership, local governments, business community and smallholder farmers in helping to drive positive change.

G
SF support those vulnerable communities to adapt to climate change by working across sectors (agriculture, water and energy) building capacities within different jurisdictions in order to deliver lasting impacts at scale.
SF solution-based framework on climate change is described under our Climate, Business and Landscape Product. We operate at the farm level; value chain level and at the landscape level supporting climate change plans and polices.

As we advocate for climate justice at a district and national level, the GSF prioritizes local communities that are extremely vulnerable to the effects of climate change. We partner with communities to assess environmental impact and climate change risk. In addition, we integrate ecological considerations into our agricultural programs.

Climate adaptation, natural resource protection, and awareness raising are essential to our work as we partner with communities to reduce disaster risks and build sustainable livelihoods. GSF proudly supports communities to work and hold leaders and external actors accountable for environmental neglect and destruction.

GSF Farmers from all sectors promotes climate-smart policies, practices, and services that enable agriculture to meet the triple goals of food security, climate change adaptation, and mitigate the effects of climate change.
Build capacities on how climate change impacts actors in the various value chains to increase awareness on the effectiveness of current coping strategies to deal with climate change now and in future, environmental impact and climate change risk.
In addition, we integrate ecological considerations into our agricultural and other programs.
We also observe that climate smart agriculture is no longer just a technology or agricultural practices.
